Less radiation load, more precision.
Whether it's a single tooth or a panoramic image, digital X-rays make everything visible that is relevant for the treating specialist: quickly and much more radiation-friendly. This is because the X-ray image is not exposed on a film as in the past, but recorded on a sensor or a highly sensitive imaging plate. In this way, up to 90% radiation can be reduced: to about 5 microsieverts. That is equivalent to a flight from Nuremberg to Rome.
What's more, this makes the technology very environmentally friendly, because the purely digital images do not have to be developed with chemical substances. And if data has to be exchanged between different practices, that too is only a matter of seconds.
